Flying home from the US on my last trip there

Friends & followers;

So i am sitting in my loungeroom (which doesn’t have a TV but does have a woodfire) trying to juggle all of my different roles today. You see, today is the day that i am a housewife, a manager, a publicist, a chef, a bible-study co-ordinator, a writer, and just me, Raechel.

I  don’t know about you, but life is never simple when you have multiple roles to play.. nor does it help that my mobile phone goes in and out of service when it feels like it, my internet connection does the same, i seem to be burning the very last bit of wood in the whole yard, my uni work is looking at me in a teasing way, my graphic designer won’t call me back & my mum is out of town so i can’t ring her for moral support!

It’s a hard life.

On the upside, we have a NEW SINGLE out called “REMEMBER TO BREATHE” & that is exactly what i am trying to do. Not only is it out on radio, but people actually LIKE IT and have been PLAYING IT! Wow, life doesn’t get much better! Radio Show Hosts – you are too good to me. But don’t stop!

So to say a big thank you to all of the radio DJ’s who have supported our band over the years, we are going out on a radio tour. We are also doing a few house shows so look at the list below and if you think you can help out in any away, whether it be housing us for a night, feeding us, talking to us, holding an acoustic show at your house or just coming out and buying our record, then please get in touch with me at raechel@thelees.com.au,  i would love to hear from you!

Ben & Raechel's Wedding Party

Hey Lee friends,

Well it has been a few months since i got married and so i thought i would share a picture from the wedding with you all. This was taken just after the wedding at a property of some friends of ours; Roger & Kerriean.

As i mentioned in my other post, we are in the USA at the moment; in Nashville actually! Everyone has gone out shopping but i am spending the day in the hotel working which isn’t fun, but is necessary..

Another great thing that happened just a few days ago is that our single has gone up another place to #4! It is also #4 on Mildura Hot FM Top 50 chart! Life just keeps getting better!

Hey everybody,

Wow, what a big couple of days! So me, Mum, Dad and Sav are in North Carolina doing some promotion for Dad’s solo album & then heading to Nashville for a few meetings, but i am still suffering from jetlag! Isn’t it funny that we say “suffering”? I mean, i’m not really suffering, i’m just really tired at all the wrong hours!

We’ve been here in NC for 2 days and i get a message from our producers lovely wife, Amanda O’Bryan, to tell me that our single, “It Ain’t Me Babe” has reached #5 on the Country Music Charts! Here’s proof: Top 30 Charts!

Thank you everybody who has helped in making this happen!

Well i have to be off, it’s time (in Australia) to sleep so i have to go get some coffee so that i can stay awake until my bedtime, which embarrasingly, is 8:30pm. Oh my.

Hey friends,

Can you believe it? Our new single has entered the Top 10 on the Australian Country Music Singles Chart! We are currently sitting at #9 www.countrymusicradio.com.au/index.cfm?page_id=1011 and we are incredibly happy!

A big thank you to all of the radio presenters across Australia who are playing our single because quite frankly, we couldn’t have done it without you! Also a big thank you to all of the people who buy our records and request our music – what an amazing life we have thanks to you!

So mum and dad are currently in the US and they get home a bit later on in the month. We’re trying to put together a tour of the US later on this year or early 2011, i’ll keep you updated.

Also for anyone who doesn’t know, i got married just one month ago! It was a beautiful day and Jarod was a groomsmen and Faith & Sav were bridesmaids. I’ll put a picture up soon!

Hey friends of The Lees,

Well here we are, sitting in our little school room that we hire at Tamworth every year. How many years have we been coming here for now? It has to be at least 12! I remember when we started out by busking on the street in front of the Central Hotel!

We have a new album out and our launch is at Tamworth! On Friday the 22nd starting at 10pm at the Tudor Hotel. And no, we aren’t busking! We are really proud of this new album “Welcome Road” and i really think that after a 4 year break, these are some of the best songs of our career. The first single is “It Ain’t Me Babe”, the old Bob Dylan classic and will be playing on CMC starting this week so look out for it!

You can buy our new CD on this site, just check out the merchandise section. It’s only $25 so we hope you will support our newest album and truly love each of the songs on it!

Well it’s time to get back to changing my guitar strings, maybe i’ll see you out and about at the festival?

Right now, we are finishing off our brand new album, produced by none other than Mr Roger Corbett (musical genius) of the Bushwackers. We are quite proud of this album and it will be released later this year. We will be starting pre-orders very soon for everyone on our mailing list so keep your eyes peeled for lee updates!

Our tour dates are a bit slim at the moment as we have been busy not only with the album but lots of other adventures! Steve and Jarod just got back from 3 weeks in Africa, Tracey and Savannah took part in City to Surf and Sav and Raechel have been sleeping and working (you figure out who does what)..

Thanks to all the people who replied to my message about picking up your free stuff, we appreciate all the support we get from out fans and friends!

We’re playing at the Ben Hall Festival in Forbes in October which we have never played at before so we’re looking for to seeing a few of you there!
